Wedding Anniversary Portrait Tour in Banff National Park
Wedding anniversary photo tour in Banff, AB
Banff wedding photographers, Troy & Shirleen Burnett, Burnett Photography.
Sarah & Yudong are still newly weds at heart.
After 20 years of marriage they can’t get enough of each other!
Being a wedding photographer, it is refreshing to see this other side of marriage—the calm and natural feel of a love that has withstood the test of time. The ease and gentleness that are the graceful results of decades being together.
We took these lovebirds on a portrait tour to some of my favorite vistas in the Banff National Park. They enjoyed the experience, relaxing and having their moment on the iconic red chairs located throughout the park.
If you are not already familiar with them, the red chairs placed in special locations around the Banff National Park are “all about taking time to connect with nature and with each other. Some are easy to find, while others provide more of an adventure. All of them offer a place to rest, relax, and reflect on the place you’ve discovered and the journey you took to get there.”
Coming to Banff was something Sarah & Yudong had wanted to do for some time. The idea of the chairs was fascinating for them and so we made it a point to seek out more of them. Certainly, they made for a perfect place to reflect on their 20 year journey of marriage.
Nietzsche wrote, “It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages.”
Sarah and Yudong struck me as being the best of friends from the moment they met to the moments in front of me. It was a pleasure to work with them and capture their love in images.
They were an inspiration for my own marriage to my best friend, Troy, and in that spirit, I hope the images we created inspire you to embrace your love as generously.
Thank you Sarah & Yudong. Here is to the next 20 years!
