Lake Louise Proposal

Jason’s proposal of marriage to Marina at beautiful Lake Louise, AB. Canada

The early snow did nothing to deter Jason from dropping to his knee and proposing to Marina, his girlfriend of 8 years, yesterday at Lake Louise.

The newly engaged couple arrived just a few days ago from Sydney, Australia. Despite jet lag, time and temperature differences—it was Tuesday and 23 C in Oz and Monday and zero degrees in Lake Louise!— the happy couple was all smiles for the event. Kaitlyn and I hide in the bushes to capture the moment after laying a trail of roses for Marina to follow. The roses lead up to a vista where a picnic basket with more roses, champagne, and chocolates awaited. While waiting for them to arrive, I noticed several people walking by with roses in hand, which set me to wondering how intact my trail remained!

Thankfully, all went well. Jason and Marina found the champagne, we got the shots and she said “yes”.

I was a wonderful, chilly day to remember forever.
