As a Canmore wedding photographer, I can confidently say that Canmore is a great place to get married! It is as beautiful as Banff, but much less crowded, and there are some lovely venues available to make your wedding day run smoothly.
The Cornerstone Theater is a lovely venue for a Canmore Wedding and where Shelby and Garrett chose to celebrate their wedding. Originally, the ceremony was to be held at the Canmore Ranch, however, the weather did not cooperate and the folks at the Cornerstone stepped in to save the day.
It was a lovely ceremony, personally officiated by a member of the family. Emotions were high and tears were not short in supply as Shelby realized when she first opened her lips to express her love for Garrett. It was loving and sweet and made all the more delightful as Shelby burst out laughing, while simultaneously crying, as she stumbled through her vows. They were tender and humorous vows that the couple had written themselves.
The rain paused long enough for us to create wedding portraits with the bride, groom and vivacious wedding party.
Calgary wedding videographer, the fabulous Joseph Alexander, of Alexander Documentarian, worked side by side with Troy and I, capturing the day in gorgeous cinematography and adding to the overall fun with his quick wit and charm.
A great big thank you to Joanne Richardson and her staff at Cornerstone Theater for a scrumptious dinner and successful wedding reception!
