Canmore wedding at Silvertip Golf Resort

Canmore is a great place for a wedding and the Silvertip Golf Resort makes for a beautiful and well-run experience.

Tucked away from the summer crowds on the north side of the TransCanada highway, Silvertip is like an oasis of peace and quiet with stunning views.

Colin and Michelle celebrated their wedding yesterday with friends and family from all over Canada and even a few guests who came all the way from Australia. The ceremony was held at the Gazebo on the Silvertip greens and officiated by Patricia Compton (http://imarry.ca/about-me/).

Perhaps the sweetest moment of this wedding was seeing little 3-month-old Jacob in the arms of his dad coming down the aisle. Jacob is Michelle and Colin’s adorable little wedding “surprise” and he almost stole the show. Michelle, however, was every bit the beautiful bride. She was escorted down the aisle by her mother, Wendy, both beaming with joy and trying hard to holds back the tears as she approached Colin with Jacob in arms.

The ceremony was followed by a wedding portrait tour in Banff with wedding photographers, Troy and Shirleen Burnett and Kaitlyn Hoover of Burnett Photography and Ixchel and Justin of Parfait Productions Wedding Cinematography (https://parfaitweddings.com/home). The entire wedding party tagged along providing colorful comments and support for the newlyweds along the way! The stretch limo provided by Highland VIP (http://www.highlandvip.com/) provided a luxurious space for the routy party to follow.

The reception was at Silvertip where a lovely dinner was had, thoughtful speeches were said and a movie of the day’s highlights was enjoyed before the newlyweds cut the cake and took a turn around the dance floor.
